Hi, I'm Barbara, an italian student at Pescara University. I'm studying English and German, and I'm starting preparing the thesis to achieve the bachelor. I've got a problem, and I hope you can help me. I've to find a book, written in German language, that has been never translated in Italian. In other words, I have to translate a book from German into Italian, and it has to be the first translation in the world!!! How could I find it?! Can you help me? Thank you so much... Project Gutenberg is a loosely organized group of
volunteers who have neither the time nor the experience
to do that research for you.

However, I can point you in the direction of some old
on-line German-language texts.

Also, you could look at the page:

to find some other online collections of
German-language texts.

I have a copy of Kitty Canary, by Kate Langley Bosher.  It was published by
Harper & Brothers, and has a copyright date of 1918.

It's missing the leaf containing pages 3 and 4.

Would anyone happen to have images of these two pages?  (If not, I'll put in
a transcriber's note about the missing pages, and finish/upload the book, as
it stands.)

I have a copy of "The Big-Town Round-Up", by William MacLeod Raine, published by Grosset & Dunlap, copyright 1920 by William MacLeod Raine.

Half the Frontispiece (by George Giguere) has been torn away.  The portion that's left shows a man in a black suit, his fist doubled, and a woman in the background.  The three remaining words in the caption are "the soft throat".

If anyone out there has this book, could you send me a jpg of this frontispiece?
