For those wishing to know: one of the better early tours of South Wales 
(UK) in 1803.  Barber was an artist and the tour involved sketching - many 
of these are included in the book.  There's also a fair amount of personal 
narrative as opposed to the traditional "history, nobility and scenery" 
approach.
