This file has undergone the following extensive changes:
   Correction of errors
   Creation of 8-bit text file with accented characters
   Creation of HTML version
   Addition of the original 35 illustrations by George du Maurier from the 
first edition
The file has been updated with new header, removed from its old address in 
etext03 and filed under the new directory system.
