For those wishing to know: written in the first half of the 1800's, before 
the major development of the London "West End", it's a local book about 
what was then a hamlet, and today is best known as the site of Harrods. 
Henry George Davis died young, and the book was completed and published by 
his brother, Charles.  Both were long residents of Knightsbridge.
