For those wishing to know: Moses James Nobbs was indeed the last of the 
Mail Coach Guards employed by the Post Office in England.  In this book he 
tells of various incidents in his life, many of which show just how 
dedicated these people were.  There's also a section at the end by the 
Controller of the London Postal Service about Moses.
