For those wishing to know: a short comedy play for Victorians who were
keen on acting. There's a few funny lines, mainly from the Todd
character, but there's plenty of cases where a character's speech is
simply a way to tell the audience what is going on. It's nothing to do
with Brompton, Kensington, London, it's just Brompton was a very middle
class neighbourhood so useful for the title line.
All the best,
David,
Dampest England
