For those wishing to know: A 1817 pamphlet about the then famous preacher
John Church (1780-1833) published after he'd been found guilty of sexual
assault on Adam Foreman, then 17, and before sentence was passed (he'd be
jailed for two years). There's some background, which is no doubt the
scandal the publisher hoped would sell his pamphlet, and a poem which
mercilessly condemns a preacher for the double life he was leading. In it
the devil suggests:

Where they might each have a taste of fun,
     		With an Adonis or two

Well, I'm sure you get the idea.

All the best,
David,
Overcast and cold England
