Hi all,
Just wanted to let folks know that Jodi and I ran out to the rifle range yesterday. The trail looks good...hooks are holding in spots, not in others. The trail looks to have been groomed. There are 3 sections of overflow...one fairly small one before Colorado Creek (in the normal area...about 20 feet long but flowing water/slush), another one after Colorado creek, fairly long, and does slope down a bit, but if your dogs stay towards the top, it's easy. It is open a bit, but not deep. Then, a short section after that, frozen over. We got wet halfway to our knees, but it wasn't bad. Colorado Creek is really nice!!! Very little overflow and what is there had a layer of snow over it. There are a few small fallen trees here and there that could possibly catch sleds, but for the most part the sleds ride over them. Over the longer section of overflow, there is a tree that hangs out over the ice that is about dog level. It is right on the ice, or we would've tried to take it out. Otherwise, the trail is in good condition. :o)
Anyone running out to Angel Creek yet? I'm thinking of doing a run out there, but don't know if the trail is in all the way.
See you all next week at the meeting! :o)
