Well,,,,the April dump of the huskies is in FULL swing at our shelter.
The back yard was full yesterday and today 8 more sled dogs were dropped
off. It is not a happy time of the year for sled dogs and trying to find
homes for them. Many of the dogs will be euthanized for lack of homes and
available space for the shelter to keep them for very long.

Don has put up pictures of 8 of the dogs on our web site:

We will be running them all on Tuesday (plus others that are there) and
will write extensive reports that will probably be very long.....
If you see a dog on my web site that you are interested in please let me
know and we will be sure to put that dog up in lead.
Here is a quick note about the dogs (and some comments from the ex owner of
the first 4 dogs)

Grish...4 years. very hard worker, white and black, thick coat VERY friendly

Helen...spayed deaf female. white with black on face.
hard driving dog. VERY friendly. never been chained up. never runs off

Rusty...Driven LEADER...neutered. 3 years old. never runs off. Missing half
of his ears and end of his tail from frostbite years ago. (amazing since he
is a thick coated dog)

Honey...Spayed female VERY friendly. loves to cuddle

Topper....4 years (although lookes younger) spayed. hard worker. high strung
but ex owner says she is very driven in harness.

Pence...Pointer mix. great bloodlines Nice friendly girl.

Nova....striking looking dog. good runner but doesn't go over 25 miles.
pushy with other dogs.

Tuffy.....no clue about where he came from....he and a few other dogs were
feral for a year before finally being caught in dog traps. Several of the
dogs were too wild for the shelter to keep but this little guy is VERY sweet
and gentle. He is a mini-husky with a short build and loves pets.

They are not on the shelter web site yet but keep checking.
