Pictures are at:

The beaver dam picture is outbound, just past the 4.5 mile turn. The dam has
been there several years --it parallels the trail in the middle--but with
enough snow gets smoothed out and is just a steep little bump up out of the
ditch.

The two 5.9 pictures are from the end of the straight part of the 5.9 turn
where it turns onto the old main trail and goes to the current main trail.
The snowmachine is in the middle of the trail (now ditch).

Elsewhere, the big drag did help flatten the trail, but there's still lots
of holes and bumps. There just isn't enough snow on the trail to fill
everything in. You can see where the drag was dropping snow in a low area
then ran out--leaving the rest of the hole.

It'll probably take 4 to 6" of heavy snow and another pass of the big drag
to get a sprintable trail. More if it's really light and fluffy.

Even though we've gotten what in past years would have been enough snow to
do a pretty good job of filling in, none of it was wet snow that turns hard
and is good at being pushed around.
