This is a plea to all dog owners. ID your dogs!
If this dog is taken to the shelter on Monday and put outside.that means that one of the outside dogs that they may think about keeping over the holidays will have to be euthanized because of space. This is what happens when strays come in. They take up a spot of another dog that we are trying to find a home for. That dog has to die because the stray now needs their spot.

And with the New Years Eve coming up there will be a LOT of strays at the shelter--found after they bolted because of the fireworks.
You might say "my dog would never run off" but a simple and cheap ID tag will save you, the dog and possibly a dogs life at the shelter.
It is $40 to bail your dog out the first time and the prices go up on subsequent empoundments.

PLEASE ID your dogs.

A young (less than a year old) husky pup - large with floppy ears, brown
eyes and grey and brown markings with a lot of white - showed up at the end
of Goshawk this afternoon (in Taiga Woodlands). Believe he is male. Has
collar that is light blue/green with yellow markings - maybe like moons on
it. Very friendly and definitely wanted to come in house. He will be taken
to pound tomorrow (Monday). Contact me if anyone knows of missing
dog....otherwise, unless his owner found him or he wandered home, he will be
taken to shelter. Cheers
