Don, Leslie and I took out 5 dogs today from the shelter in the 7 dog team.
We had a nice team and they all ran well. (all of these dogs were dropped
off in the after hour cages with no paperwork so we don't have a clue as to
why they were turned in).

CHISEL #2-5-13 House F. She is a smaller 3 year old husky that is on the
shy side but warms up quickly. She was calm putting her in the team but she
sure liked to run. She has a really nice gait and is a driven dog. She ran
lead but tentatively. She has good speed but we couldn't go too fast
because of Kahil (see below). She is quiet and is a very pretty dog with
prick ears and intelligent eyes. She is already spayed and tatooed so you
can take her home today!

KAHIL #2-3-3 House N....this is a BIG girl, black and white with blue eyes.
She is probably spayed. She is overweight and has probably not been run
this year. She is a VERY friendly girl. She was leaping in her harness to
go but she couldn't do the speed that we were going. We slowed down quite a
bit for her but she was very tired. She IS chunky and out of condition.
But she is also one of the most friendly dogs out in the dog yard. Sweet
and loving. With a good diet and training she would probably make a good
distance dog. She has a nice gait.
Her picture and description will be up on the web site soon. keeping
checking at:

WILEY #1-30-1 House L. Wiley is about 3 years old. He is a larger male
around 55 pounds. He is very friendly and is a driven dog. He crabbed a
bit in harness but we were going too slow for him. He has a nice gait and
an honest work ethic. He was confused when we tried him out in lead but he
has potential there. He is cream, brown and white with blue eyes. An all
around nice boy. He is already neutered so you could plug him into your
team today!

LILY #2-1-2 House B. She is a young dog probably around 3 years old.
good teeth. She is a good sled dog with lots of drive. She loved to go.
Would make a great addition to a rec or distance team. She has good speed
but also has a very nice trot. She is a friendly dog that loves people.
She weighs around 45 pounds.

VELVET #1-31-2 House P. This is a smaller female that has a beautiful
gait. She is a driven sled dog but is also very very sweet with people.
She didn't like the other dogs but she is in full blown heat so she was
quite "testy." She also may have a bit of entropic eye lids. We all like
this dog a lot. She would probably do much better with other dogs once she
is spayed. Her gait was one of the best I have seen lately. Efficient and
smooth. Again, we probably weren't going fast enough for her.
She is black brown and white.

Still at the shelter are:
Bones
Nordica
Fraulein
Sasha
Chip
(all of the above have been run and are really good sled dogs....they would
all make great pets too. very friendly and outgoing dogs)

Thanks to Don and Leslie!!!
Carol
