[Trdma-l] Funale this Saturday!

The Valley Funale is this Saturday, March 31 2007.  All events
take place at the Pleasant Valley Store in Two Rivers on the
Chena Hot Springs Road.

Please consider attending for all or part of the day.  There will be a
fun race, followed by a variety of community events.  Race registration
starts at 9:00 am, with the drivers meeting at 10:00 am and the races
starting at 11:00 am:

  Adult 6-dog, 10 mile
  Adult 10-dog, 20 mile
  Junior 6-dog, 10-mile (age 14-17)

Other than the race, which has a small entry fee, all events are free
and open to the community.

-> At noon, the potluck picnic will begin.  TRDMA provides grilled
   meat and buns.  Bring your favorite side dish, entre, dessert, etc.
   to share.  (Suggestion: include a label for your food, so people
   know what it is.)

-> An easter egg hunt for youngsters begins at 1:00 pm.

-> At 2:00 pm there will be a 1/2-dog youth start (for children
   older than 5, but too young for the junior race).  Dogs and 
   small sleds will be on hand to provide a taste of mushing for
   the next generation.

-> At 3:00 pm the "hungry dog contest" will start.  This is
   open to any type of dog, not just sled dogs.  Which dog will
   be the champion eater this year?

There are opportunities to volunteer to help out with the day's events.
