[Trdma-l] Fairbanks Animal Shelter Fund Five Year Anniversary

The Fairbanks Animal Shelter Fund will be celebrating its Five Year 
Anniversary with a potluck and annual meeting on Thursday, May 17 at  the 
Farthest North Girl Scout Council Building, 431 Old Steese Highway at 
College Road.  Potluck starts at  6 PM, meeting starts at 7 PM, suggested 
donation is $10.

Huskies make up over half the dogs coming into the Shelter in any given 
year.  Many of these critters are in need of veterinary care in excess of 
what is provided for in the borough budget.  In addition the Fund has paid 
for all dog yard improvements, new houses, collars, bowls, etc whenever 
needed.  We also facilitate the long distance adoptions.  The Shelter simply 
could not rehome many of our huskies without  this support from the 
community.

We are hoping for a good turnout as we celebrate our first five years, so
