Greetings!
Don't forget the deadline for advance registration (i.e., cheaper
prices) for the 2007 Alaska Dog Mushers Association International
Sled Dog Symposium is Friday, October 5th. Mailed registration forms
must be *postmarked* on or before October 5th. If you are paying by
credit card, you may fax your form to 907-455-9663 between 7 a.m. and
10 p.m. Alaska time until October 10th.
By registering in advance, you'll save $5 on a one-day registration
or $10 for two days. New and renewing ADMA members save an extra $5
per day.
Our keynote presentation this year is "Reward-based training for all
dogs and all occasions" by Claudia Sihler of The Better Companion. We
will have a fireside chat with Lance Mackey and two sessions with our
perennial favorite, Wes Rau, along with many other great speakers.
In order to attend the symposium presentations (except for Friday
evening), you must pay a registration fee. However, admission to the
working dog trade fair and the ADMA annual fundraising auction is
free for everyone of any age. During the weekend, the trade fair
will feature a "best invention contest" (your chance to win a $100
gift certificate from AIH), and we'll be showing UAF archival film
footage from the early days of mushing.
Didn't receive an advance registration form in the mail? Visit the
symposium web site at:
and download a PDF version.
Be sure to check out the symposium web site for more information, as
well as a list of trade fair vendors and a continually growing list
of auction items.
See you at the symposium!
