11th annual Mush for Kids

Date: Saturday, April 5
Time:  10:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
10 a.m. – 1:45 p.m. (dog sled rides)
Location: Pioneer Park

The Alaska Children's Trust is once again hosting Mush for Kids. This 
free community event is fun, and raises awareness and LOTS of funds to 
help prevent child abuse and neglect in Alaska.

We are once again asking area mushers to volunteer their dogs and their 
equipment to give rides to the THOUSANDS of kids that show up each year.

Mike Cox has put in another excellent trail and we'll be able to have 
multiple teams running continuously throughout the event.

It would be easier for the coordinators (and maybe your dogs?) if you 
signed up for a specific shift, as very few dogs can take three hours 
straight of going in circles and loading and unloading.
I have been asked to contact mushers. But this year I'm heading to 
Hortonville, Wisconsin for a surprise 80th birthday party for my dad 
(don't tell!) so I won't be able to help AT ALL...other than to send 
this message and wish everyone well.
