Hello All! Well, I had been working on the Newsletter; but, unfortunately the laptop crashed. So, here is the reminder for the monthly TRDMA meeting. It is Tuesday, May 6th at 7:30pm at the Two Rivers Nazarene Church. We have nominations for all of the board positions; but, if you would like to nominate yourself or someone else, you can still do so tomorrow night (person has to be there to accept). We will be voting for the board at tomorrow's meeting. We will also be organizing the various committees for the new year; so, come on out and volunteer to help. We'll need chairs, as well as volunteers for our committees: Race/Rules Committee, Sponsorship Committee, Trail Committee, and Public Relations Committee. Our club needs the support of all it's members....not just the few. So, be a volunteer today! :o)

Here is a note from your TRDMA president:

May is almost here, and with it, the end of the TRDMA year. This will be the last time I'll be putting together some thoughts for the newsletter since I will not be standing for election again this year. I'm planning to take some time off from any position of responsibility with any organization - for the last several years, I've been either on a board of directors or cooordinator for this, that or the other thing. With a litter of promising 6 month old puppies and plans for them in the next little while, you'll still see me around, but it'll more likely be on the trail than anyplace else.

With that in mind, I want to urge any of you who have a bit of time and who have ever said something that starts with, "The club should. . ." to either put your name in for the board of directors ballot or to volunteer to chair a committee. The people who're doing it now have been doing it for the last several years. I'm sure they'd appreciate a break, or at least someone to help to get things that need doing, done. There are people who've never contributed more than their dues to the club, but who've been more than willing to speak up when something didn't go perfectly - those are the people I'm talking to. Here's your chance. Show us how it should be done. Nominations for the board will be accepted 'til the last minute at the monthly meeting this coming Tuesday, May 6th. It would be nice to see more than one name per position on the ballot. I hope I'll see your name there!  --Scott Chesney, TRDMA President
