
I should also mention that you can convert etexts to .lit format yourself with software on the net or from microsoft, and with pretty much either free or minimal cost to yourself.
I wish I could do this in an automated fashion, with a tool that runs from the shell, ideally in non-Windows environments (i.e. Linux and BSD). The only way I've seen to do this, requires loading each doc in Microsoft Word, clicking the Reader/Conversion button on the toolbar, picking a SaveAs filename, and saving it back to disk. A long, boring, tedious process, to be sure. There is an SDK, and I could probably write something around Mono to work with it, but it wouldn't be pretty. I'd just as soon stay away from proprietary formats as much as I can. David A.
