PG has a history of animosity to scholars and scholarly tastes, which I deplore.
The animosity I have is against making books unusable for the 99.9% (who just want books that work. everywhere. anytime. on whatever device they choose to read them.) for the sake of the 0.1% that want some special feature. Real academics don't use PG books anyway. They use google scans or get a grant and digitize the book themselves. And they want TEI and not some silly home-brewed HTML.
