You didn't indicate who you're writing to, but since I answered you before, I'll presume that you were addressing me. Just so you are clear about it, you're writing to an email list, which is sent to {some number of} people; I'm not sure how many, but probably between dozens to hundreds. This mail list is a general discussion forum for anyone who volunteers for Project Gutenberg.
In any case, I am not a professional proofreader. I volunteer (with many, many others) at Distributed Proofreaders (pgdp.net) to help to proofread and thus create the ebooks for Project Gutenberg, and that is the proofreading my web site bio is referring to. We proofread books one page at a time, leveraging the idea of crowdsourcing to proofread hands; the idea is that "many hands make light work".
But I'm afraid that I have no experience at all with publishing, so I don't have any advice to offer you about that...
