it's true.  huck finn has been kicking my ass.  totally.

all of those slanguage spellings screwed up my workflow,
mostly because i didn't have the discipline to be rigorous
about adhering to the correct order while doing the tasks.

(in the past, violations of that ordering had few ill effects;
but they were serious here due to those spelling variants.)

at any rate, i have finally wrestled from under the bottom,
and i'll soon be kicking huck's ass instead of vice-versa...

p.s.  also, it's jarring to repeatedly encounter the n-word.
i've considered changing it to "nogger" or "logger" while i
work with the book, just to make a little humor out of it.
after all this, i wish i woulda done it right at the outset...
