ibiblio is slow currently. They say they are moving to new servers at the end of summer. That may alleviate the problem. Currently only about 4% of requests are accessing the pages we are going to put on the wiki. Also, MediaWiki is slower if you are logged in. If you are not logged in, most pages will come out of the page cache. Of course, the page cache will not fill before the public starts using the wiki. -- Marcello Perathoner webmaster@gutenberg.org
