I have written some books using Booki: http://en.flossmanuals.net/index.php This is a Wiki that makes books. You write the chapters like a Wiki, except that chapters are organized like a table of contents rather than just linking to each other any which way. When the book is ready to publish you can generate a website, an EPUB, and a PDF suitable to submit to Lulu or Create Space (or put on archive.org). It isn't as fancy as what they seem to be proposing but it gets the job done. There is a website for non-FLOSS manuals: http://booki.cc/ One thing you can do here is import badly formatted and proofed EPUBs from archive.org and fix them up. I’m not expressing an opinion on this Kickstarter funded project one way or the other, I just think it is an interesting development that the members this forum might want to take a look at.****
