The problem appears to be with the 'cz' program, which was recently updated by Jim Timsley. I have sent him a note asking him to look into it. Apparently it isn't able to determine what user it is running as on the server, and emits the "Aborting: no user information!" error message and exits.
(Working through some older emails) I'm just confirming that this was fixed -- there was a little weirdness in our Apache configuration. I tweaked the upload scripts, and voila! -- Greg
