And yet it is so difficult to have these ASCII files work for readers. They don't work on my phone or my desktop PC. In fact, if I wasn't one of the few who still has a VT100 terminal, I wouldn't be comfortable at all.
the people who will be doing the work are the volunteers who donate their time and energy to our cyberlibrary, and i am firmly convinced that _they_ can edit my .zml _much_ more easily than they could ever hope to edit your xhtml...
if you want to say otherwise, you'll need a _lot_ of evidence.
Well, to show that more people would rather work in XHTML than ZML, I'd only have to find two XHTML people.
