Many years ago, Michael Hart was interviewed by someone whose name I don’t remember. The interviewer wanted to get a taste of what was involved in producing an ebook. I was asked to help him. He first chose a source book that looked simple (but wasn’t), so he asked me to choose something. I have no memory now of what it was. He worked his way through the basics, but I think I did a fair amount of hand-holding and final cleanup. Some of the article may have come from material produced by Marie Lebert, a French writer on ebooks. In 2008 and 2011, I assisted with producing several of her works now in PG—do a Quick Search for “t:project gutenberg a:lebert”. You should get four hits: 27039, 27045, 31632, and 36616. Too bad the article isn’t dated--that might shed some light.
