Subject: [gutvol-d] I have a contributionHi,
I've just signed up to this list.
I found Gutenberg a few years ago, but didn't have scanning or
OCR facilities. I have recently bought a Kindle and down-loaded
quite a few books.
I have scanned and part-proof-read my copy of John Buchan's 'Castle Gay',
and see that there is no copy of this in the catalog. I've been trying to
work out how I can contribute this, but the volunteering pages all assume
that only proof-readers for already uploaded books are needed. I have a
number of other John Buchan books that I could work on, but is there any point?
A secondary question: can anyone recommend a way of converting my stuff into
Kindle format - I run Ubuntu Linux, but so far have found only software to
read Kindle format.
Many thanks
Bill
