they're selling like hotcakes.
twice as fast as the iphone, which -- if i remember correctly --
was widely acknowledged as quite a phenomenon at the time...
and this weekend, the g3 models came out, so apple stores
had many people (who'd been waiting for it) standing in line.
maybe apple _does_ need to do a little market research, so they
woulda discovered the remarkable latent demand for this niche.
