That's three times the number of households that owned an e-reader just a year ago, pointing to rapid acceptance." However, the highest rate of eBook distribution I've heard about has only been 2.63 times as many eBooks, not to mention that the number of eBooks given away by Project Gutenberg is only up some 20% at most over last years, as far as I can tell.
