Pagination is not necessarily the same thing as page numbers. I like retaining some notion of page numbers even if it is just in the form of invisible or semi-invisible HTML. I also like retaining original linebreaks info to assist future proofing or reworking passes -- which again is not the same as displaying original linebreaks. I dislike anything that prevents reflow, which I think is necessary for the enjoyment of most users.
