i understand what you're trying to say. but... that's an after-the-fact rationalization. as evidenced by every p.g. presentation of an entire book on a single web-page, users are quite accustomed to scrolling. and there are times when it is the _best_ way to examine some particular aspect... for example, consider this specific display:
that's an extremely useful presentation from the standpoint of checking quotes, which i think everyone will find obvious. there are two notable things on that page, both of them quite subtle, so bonus points to anyone who can point out either of them. -bowerbird
