Did you receive the monthly newsletter?
Can the people on this list let me know if the monthly newsletter made it to your inboxes this last week? There's some concern that the mail may have gotten caught in some spam folders due to length, or content. If you 1) Are subscribed to the gmonthly list and 2) had the newsletter show up in the spam folder, please let me know. Thanks!
Option 1 for me. Thanks Laura On Fri, Oct 3, 2025 at 09:12 Ross Olson via gutvol-d < gutvol-d@lists.pglaf.org> wrote:

Yes, subscribed. No, the newsletter did not end up in Spam folder. Newsletter (sent yesterday) was simply never received at my email address. :( Walt On 10/3/2025 4:12 AM, Ross Olson via gutvol-d wrote:

I am subscribed and I received the recent newsletter without issue. Dan On Fri, Oct 3, 2025, at 4:12 AM, Ross Olson via gutvol-d wrote:

I didn't get it and am not sure what might have happened. ~ Greg On Fri, Oct 03, 2025 at 01:12:23AM -0700, Ross Olson via gutvol-d wrote:

Fascinating. We're running at a 50/50 split of people expecting the newsletter vs those actually receiving it. Can those of you who did NOT get the most recent newsletter (if you have a free moment), please check to see if you received the August-September newsletter that was sent out on Sept 3? For those of you who want to see it, but haven't, it is here: https://lists.pglaf.org/archives/list/gmonthly@lists.pglaf.org/thread/Y57RLA... Thank you! I didn't get October's, I was not really expecting one with the transition taking place. I dumped my spam folder before this came up, so I can't tell if it went there or I just didn't get it. (puppernutter) On Sat, Oct 4, 2025 at 3:48 AM Ross Olson via gutvol-d < gutvol-d@lists.pglaf.org> wrote:

I don't recall ever signing up for this newsletter, have never received it, and would like to be unsubscribed. I went to the project webpage and was told that I had to create an account before I could unsubscribe. Really? -- Karen Lofstrom On Fri, Oct 3, 2025 at 9:48 PM Ross Olson via gutvol-d < gutvol-d@lists.pglaf.org> wrote:

The system is set up so that random person A can’t just randomly cancel person B’s subscription. …Ross…

FWIW, Karen has been removed from the list per their request. Thanks Dan! Hopefully everyone has an "unsubscribe" link at the bottom of the list mails that shows how to handle this directly.
That link is not present in the emails I receive from gutvol-d, Ross. -- Walt On 10/5/2025 5:01 PM, Ross Olson via gutvol-d wrote:

I was confused (so much my natural state) regarding the footer. I’m going to try and make a useful footer with some sort of link to easily unsubscribe or change to digest mode. …Ross… On Fri, Oct 10, 2025 at 3:17 PM Walter Farrell via gutvol-d < gutvol-d@lists.pglaf.org> wrote:
