pride. and prejudice. incremental. improvement. .epub.

i went ahead and did a chopped-up version of an .epub of "pride and prejudice", so even that pathetic viewer-app from adobe can display it.
that goes with this earlier version:
greg, please enter both in your not-a-tournament. how's that coming along, anyway? *** and oh my goodness, what a headache .epub is... validation problems spring up left and right, and there's precious little authoritative documentation. i guess the 1% boys at the big publishing houses don't want all those 99% amateurs making books. they'd rather not have any competition, thank you. the sooner their .epub format dies, the happier i'll be. most of the time, i'd rather deal with .pdf than .epub, from the programming end, and that's saying a lot... speaking of .pdf, does anyone want me to make one? since nobody's looking at these files, i won't bother, _unless_ somebody actually requests it, specifically... -bowerbird
