amazon announces yet another milestone

ok, this is a milestone that i've been waiting for... amazon has announced the successor to its .mobi format. "is it .epub?" of course not, you idiot. that's the dinosaur format. kf8 -- "kindle format 8" -- replaces .mobi version 7, and is based on html5, with css3. (anybody got a calculator?) it also contains some features related directly to e-books, like drop-caps, callouts, and sidebars... another inclusion which i believe will prove to be extremely valuable is s.v.g. as i said, i have been anticipating this development, and am now more excited than ever about the upcoming release of "jaguar", my text-editor with a unique e-book orientation... -bowerbird
