I'm trying to access the ftp.ibiblio.org ftp server and nothing is showing on the server. no directories at all and rsync isn't working, either. I know on the main PG page it says ibiblio is doing maint work from the 23rd to the 26th but it's the 29th now and nothing seems to be working. Jsred ᐧ

Ibiblio appears to have fixed ftp.ibiblio.org. When you say "rsync isn't working", do you mean "it isn't working to access ftp.ibiblio.org" (which I'm guessing will be fixed now) or "it isn't working in general" (which would probably be a separate problem). -Michael

Not for FTP. You (Michael) perhaps tried from an ibiblio server. Access from off-campus isn't working. They're pursuing this...

FYI... Logging in with CuteFTP to login.ibiblio.org now works. (It didn't last week.) I've deleted a couple of outdated files left over from Roger Frank's update of "The Blue Lagoon", PG#393. Logging in to ftp.ibiblio.org anonymously with SFTP (port 22) doesn't work. But, it hasn't worked for me for some months, with normal FTP (port 21)--no idea why. Hi, Al. I don't think sftp supports anonymous logins. Did this used to work? You should be able to get to ftp.ibiblio.org via anonymous FTP using regular FTP, with CuteFTP or other clients. There might still be some anomalies. - Greg On Mon, Aug 29, 2016 at 09:05:10AM -0700, Al Haines wrote:

Hi, Greg - I reverted to standard FTP for anonymous login and it worked. It hadn't worked for some months prior to the recent ibiblio maintenance, but for whatever reason, it now does. Al
