...but one can walk into the front door of Best Buy and actually try out (or buy) from a half dozen or more different eBook Readers from the major vendors (Apple excepted).

Same with Borders. NOT with Barnes & Noble. I hear B&N is buying out Borders. True??? If so. . .down with those choices. . . .

It seems that Target carries non-house brands, do they not? If Target dropped all brands of cereal except their house brands, then I think a few people would complain. We're not saying that Apple doesn't have reasons; we're saying that it's a pain in the ass that we don't like, and it disconveniences us enough that it's going to affect our buying patterns. That is our right as consumers, no matter how justifiable a company's position.
