ok, those are looking fantastic! just one glitch: some text got sliced, on some even-numbered pages. (i'd jumped into the middle, so the first one i noticed was page 144.)
might wanna check the _right_ side of the odd-numbered pages, too. (remember, in this editor program, you can click the image itself to advance to the next page, so it's a very big target and hard to miss.) *** but these will work nicely, as you saw above, and in the other demo:
the uniformity of the scans also lets me straggle down some markers on the left side of the scan that help you hone in on the linenumber... the markers don't align perfectly with the lines, but they're a big help. -bowerbird

Bowerbird, Let's go with these as is for now. Scan Tailor occasionally doesn't find the boundaries of text exactly. Usually the error is obvious and I correct it manually. In this case it was subtle and very hard to spot. If there are a lot of these I'll try to fix it, but I'm not seeing that so far. Even with Scan Tailor doing these page images is time-consuming. It might have been like this in the original book too. The first page in the preface is messed up on the left margin. James Simmons On Sat, Jan 21, 2012 at 12:39 PM, <Bowerbird@aol.com> wrote:
