Quite a few of the DP folks are seeing the following error when uploading files to PF for the WW Team: "Aborting: no user information!" Some are reporting that the upload confirmation email does arrive, a few have reported that the email does not arrive at all. I believe it may have already been reported to help@pglaf.org, but I wondered if others have been experiencing this issue, and if anything was known yet.

(Yes, I'm replying to myself ... :) The problem appears to be with the 'cz' program, which was recently updated by Jim Timsley. I have sent him a note asking him to look into it. Apparently it isn't able to determine what user it is running as on the server, and emits the "Aborting: no user information!" error message and exits.

(Working through some older emails) I'm just confirming that this was fixed -- there was a little weirdness in our Apache configuration. I tweaked the upload scripts, and voila! -- Greg
