abbyy finereader on sale -- last day!
the new version of abbyy finereader -- v11 -- is on sale... but today is the last day of the sale -- at least supposedly. the full version, new, is $119 on sale, reduced from $170. the update is $70 on sale, and it will be $100 afterwards... finereader express, for the mac, is $70 today, $100 later. i don't know if v11 is an improvement on earlier versions or not, so i can't give any advice on whether to _upgrade_. but this is a good price to buy a version if you have none... most _especially_ if you believe the lies that jim and lee have been telling you that finereader does good markup. it does _presentational_ markup, which is well and good -- and honestly, that's all that a regular person needs -- but not what you really want if you have to edit the .html. finereader _does_ give excellent o.c.r., though, the _best_! so again, if you don't have an o.c.r. program, grab it now!

Perhaps BB could at least have the "generosity" to quote exactly when and where I said this lie? Or if not perhaps BB would be so kind as to retract his outrageous statement? Franky I am getting very tired of the BB constant name-calling, which BB continues with for the simple reason that I continue to believe that ZML is NOT a good idea for the PG community to pursue. Again, if BB wants to make this an optional tool for volunteers to use, or not use as they choose, then I have no complaint, people can then choose to use ZML if they think it is a good idea - no one would then be *forced* to use it. It is only BB's attempts to *force* ZML on the PG volunteer community which leads to his continuing extreme behavior and extreme attack rhetoric.

Just chill out. Being called names by BowerBird is high praise; it means you have made a point that he can't refute, so he has to resort to name calling. When BowerBird calls you names, or says your ideas are stupid without explaining why, it's an admission that you won the argument.
