Ipad Mini has been released. Form factor probably more interesting for most book readers who are Apple-centric. Unfortunately, comes with Apple's new proprietary incompatible GDMF USB cable. http://www.apple.com/ipad-mini/overview/
Hi James, What does the lightning connector have to do with its use as an ereader. The main connection of IPads (and the mini) is via Wi-Fi/Airplay and cellular connection. regards Keith Am 24.10.2012 um 13:57 schrieb James Adcock <jimad@msn.com>:

What does the lightning connector have to do with its use as an
ereader. The user gets to pay yet another "tax" to the Apple Monopoly Machine. You can buy the cable from independent sources for $60, or you can buy it direct from Apple for "only" $20. They could have used the micro-USB connectors and chargers that everyone already owns and uses, but no, not Apple! PS: My wife just bought an Apple and it broke within the first week. Now she has it installed inside the world's largest "Apple Condom" to try to keep it safe. Still, don't get me wrong, the Ipad Mini is a great step forward - now maybe the next one they come out with will be small enough to be held with one hand.
