i've begun prototyping utf8 capability in my apps. if anyone would like to help test that, let me know. i remember getting a bunch of flak back when i advocated stripping a few diacritical marks in english texts for the sake of wide compatibility (since english readers understand it fine anyway). here's a chance for those people to show that they weren't just flapping their yaps... -bowerbird
