Well, actually, there has been a little progress: we have donated web space staged with the Gutenberg software distribution and a PostgreSQL back-end. I didn't announce it on the list because there's still considerable setup and configuration to be done, so there's nothing yet to "see", but the back-end is close to ready. I've had to put Gutenberg on the back burner due to professional commitments, and won't be able to devote significant time to the project until September. That one simple word has a few questions implied. Here are some answers as I understand them:
1) Yes, this list has been very quiet for a while. 2) No, I am not aware of any great efforts towards a PG Canada lately. 3) I believe some people still have interest and are ready to "come on board" once something is actually in place that can be contributed to. 4) Yes, I do still think it is worth pursuing.
