Hall lived in Brompton and was a well-known writer. She supported the need for a hospital to look after those suffering from consumption (T.B.) which was then incurable. When the hospital was built she wrote this illustrated book with a trajic tale of a young girl who dies of consumption in order to raise money for the hospital. Being a local there's lots of local Chelsea references and early pictures too. All the best, David, Rather warm but overcast England

An extension was planned and built onto the church, the Chapel of the Holy Spirit, and Morris wrote this tract about why it had been built, the symbolism involved etc. The Chapel was consecrated in 1909. Edward Duke (1779?-1849) wrote this short pamphlet arguing against Stonehenge in England having being built by the Roman or after.
