The Forlorn Hope, by Mrs S. C. Hall 50078 [Subtitle: A Tale of Old Chelsea] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/5/0/0/7/50078 ] [Files: 50078-0.txt; 50078-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Mrs. S. C. Hall lived in Brompton and was a well-known writer. She supported the need for a hospital to look after those suffering from consumption (T.B.) which was then incurable. When the hospital was built she wrote this illustrated book with a trajic tale of a young girl who dies of consumption in order to raise money for the hospital. Being a local there's lots of local Chelsea references and early pictures too. All the best, David, Rather warm but overcast England
