Twice in one day have made the same mistake of sending a reply regarding an ERRATA report to Posting Announcements rather than the party intended. David At 10:02 AM 8/31/2012, you wrote:

The Latin in footnote 60 has been corrected per your suggestion.

My only exposure to Latin was a class in high-school 66 years ago, as a requirement for medical school.

I am encouraged that you are continuing your reading and know you will find hundreds of other errors in the Latin words. Much of this PG set was scanned from my 1836 (Harper and Co) edition with the normal print very small, and the footnotes half that, well beyond the ability of scanners and OCR programs of 12 years ago--it was a nightmare of proofing.

If you have the time to jot down in a list the errors you find along the way, I would be most grateful to have you send me the list when you have completed each volume. It will be easier to simply send me the entire list of errors in an email to this address.

"Universa quae *in* quoque belli genere necessaria esse creduntur, secum l* egio* debet ubique portare, ut in quovis loco fixerit castra, *armatam* faciat civitatem."
