The Coming Night, by Edward Hoare 52034 [Subtitle: A Sermon Preached in Cromer Church, on Friday, June 12, 1857, on occasion of the death of Anna Gurney] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/5/2/0/3/52034 ] [Files: 52034-0.txt; 52034-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Rev. Edward Hoare was a major figure in the evanglical wing of the Church of England in Victorian England. He was related to the Gurney family of Norfolk who were famous Quakers (Elizabeth Gurney became Elizabeth Fry a famous prison reformer and is on the back of English currancy). Although short, this funeral sermon is very perfect in it's way and typical of the man the woman whose death had occasioned it. All the best, David, Very hot England
