The Visitor’s Hand-Book for Holyhead, by Thomas Jackson 52260 [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/5/2/2/6/52260 ] [Files: 52260-0.txt; 52260-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Thomas Jackson was an Englishman who worked a "Town Missionary" to Holyhead in North Wales at a time when major developments were taking place. Often asked for information about the town, which was trying to position itself as a tourist attraction, he decided to write the first guide book.
