George Eliot Centenary, November 1919, by Coventry Libraries Committee 30959 [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/3/0/9/5/30959 ] [Files: 30959.txt; 30959-0.txt; 30959-h.htm] For those wishing to know: it's the catalog of an exhibition of items related to George Eliot staged at St. Mary's Hall, Coventry, in November 1919. George Eliot was born in nearby Nuneaton, and lived for a time in Coventry, and many local people, some related to Eliot, contributed items. As I live in Bedworth (which lies between Coventry and Nuneaton) I thought I'd better do a bit more on our local celebrity. All the best, David, England, ice and snow
