An Earnest Exhortation to a Frequent Reception of the Holy Sacrament of 62141 [Title: An Earnest Exhortation to a Frequent Reception of the Holy Sacrament of the Lord's Supper] [Author: James Allan Park] [Subtitle: particularly addressed to Young Persons] [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/6/2/1/4/62141 ] [Files: 62141-0.txt; 62141-h.htm] For those wishing to know: Sir James Allan Park was a British Judge and wrote this pamphlet as he felt a lot of "young people" were not participating in the Church of England ritual for spurious reasons. It's intersting that he says that far fewer men than women were participating - the tract being written 1804. It was repeatedly republished and sold well, and may provide early signs of what became the Oxford Movement, although I think he wouldn't have agreed with them.
