The Night Side of London, by J. Ewing Ritchie 32774 [Link: http://www.gutenberg.org/3/2/7/7/32774 ] [Files: 32774.txt; 32774-0.txt; 32774-h.htm] For those wishing to know: another of Ritchie's books about what it was like to live in London in the 1800's. Many of the sketches are anti-drink but they often uncover an unknown side to London. All of sketches relate to London at night - hence the title. The first sketch, about when Ritchie stayed with a crowd all through to night to see a man hung in the morning is particularly graphic. All the best, David, England and the sun is still shining
